Live Video: Cherry Hill Library “Meet the Candidates” event

Starting at 7pm, we'll be showing live video of the "Meet the Candidates Night" forum. The event should go until 9 p.m., and we'll be broadcasting from the Cherry Hill Public Library's Conference Center.

UPDATE: The live-video recording ran into some problems -- mainly with keeping a persistent connection to the library's internet connection. We still managed to record a few extended segments, including closing statements. Thanks to the event organizers for inviting us to join in event.

Click on the "+" icon below to turn up the volume. Click on the "On Demand" button to watch the clips we recorded from the start.

Missed the live broadcast? You'll be able to watch the event back in full by clicking the "On Demand" button above.

Thank you Gannet for streaming and recording this candidates forum. Please keep this online at least until after November 3, election day, so that as many Cherry Hill voters as possible have a chance to view it and evaluate these candidates for Cherry Hill Town Council.

Gannet should be commended for performing this valuable civic service.

Viewers should use (or download and then use)the Firefox browser or equivalent to view this forum. Internet Explorer produces an uneven viewing experience with voice separated from video.

Also make note of the fact that you must click the “ON DEMAND” button below the video screen and to the right of the “on air” button. This will take you to the “beginning” of the opening presentations that were recorded, but not the first.

Viewers should watch the whole forum, not just the candidates’ prepared opening and closing statements, to judge how well qualified the candidates are and how well they responded to specific questions put to them by the audience. Listen to the question then see if they actually answered it.

Google Chrome and Safari are good, too.

If you’re using Internet Explorer, I’d recommend upgrading to IE8, the latest version of the browser, as well as the latest version of Adobe Flash: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
