Holiday Centerpieces: Outside the Box
Library Offers Holiday Centerpiece Event with Florist Michael Bruce
Create a memorable holiday centerpiece with award-winning floral designer, Michael Bruce at the Cherry Hill Public Library on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and blow the skirt right off your table!
Forget about the vase and your everyday, no-frills centerpiece. In fact, forget everything you know about setting the holiday table. Join Bruce as he raises the bar and shows you how to create a holiday centerpiece using fresh flowers and other simple materials - you may already own. Go home with not only a holiday centerpiece, but a conversation piece.
Owner of Michael Bruce Florist since 1989, Bruce’s outside the box approach to floral design won him Best in Show at the 2006 and 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show, as well as a Best Achievement Award for Innovative Design Concept, the Philadelphia Trophy and the Alfred M. Campbell Memorial Trophy. In 2006, Bruce received a bronze medal at Singapore’s First International Garden Festival. He has lent his talents to floral displays at Philadelphia’s Warwick Hotel and Sheraton Society Hill, the Philadelphia offices of KPMG, Macy's, The Rosenbach Museum and The Markeim Arts Center, among many others. Bruce’s designs for the 2006 Lady of Lourdes Gala and the "Red Ball" for American Red Cross in 2008 delighted party-goers in the Philadelphia area.
Registration costs $15 per person. Seating is limited. Spots will go quickly. To aid in planning, please register by Monday, Dec. 7. Registration fee includes all materials. Register online by visiting the Library’s events calendar or call Robyn Bland at 856-903-1202 for more information.
