Since tech gadgets seem to be among the most popular holiday presents, a lot of people end up receiving new iPhones, Droids and other cell phones as gifts.

Before trashing an old cell phone after the holidays, consider donating old phones to the Cell Phones for Soldiers campaign, which, according to their Web site, "hopes to turn old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas."

The Cherry Hill Public Library’s Teen Department and Cherry Hill High School East Media Center will be accepting cell phones through Jan. 15, 2010.
