Unbelievable documentary on HBO called ‘Gasland’!
If you have HBO, you MUST watch the documentary "Gasland"! I just saw it. Wow, this is scary! Especially in NJ and the Delaware water basin. It discusses how the Gas companies drill for natural gas and the impact it has on the area communities. Unbeleivable!

Thanks for the tip, Kristan. Do they actually show where in NJ there’s drilling? Any of it in or around Cherry Hill

I was stunned! I always though that Natural Gas was a clean energy! Maybe it is if you are using it, but certainly not if you live anywhere near or downstream from a drilling site. The drilling that is being planned above the Delaware Water Gap is in the same area as the Northeast Delaware River WaterShed. The largest natural unfiltered water source in the entire country. This WaterShed supplies NY, NJ, PA and Delaware. It will also affect all the wildllife that drink from or live in the Delaware River and all of it’s tributaries. How do we start a movement to stop this from happening???

I’m still reeling from this documentary. Great call, Kristan. It truly is eye opening, and inspired me to get involved with protecting the Delaware River WaterShed. Do you know of any organizations mobilizing to stop natural gas drilling in this region?

I only joined tonight but I am an active member of the Delaware Watershed. I can send you the link to their website if you are interested. It’s very very serious. They have already bought out a lot of local people up there.
