Horton joins Richardson for Assembly
Horton Named to Run for New Jersey’s 6th Legislative District
Gregory Horton of Haddonfield has joined the race for State Assembly in New Jersey’s 6th Legislative District. At a meeting on Monday, August 22th, the Legislative District Committee voted unanimously to add Horton. Horton joins a ticket comprised of Allan Richardson of Collingswood, also running for the Assembly, and Phil Mitsch of Merchantville, running for Senate, in what CCGOP Chairman Tom Booth said, “is sure to be a very great year for Republicans.”
Horton is a lifelong resident of New Jersey and a third generation educator; he has worked as Athletic Director at since 2000. Horton and his wife, Kim, have three children. Motivated by the poor economy, rising taxes, and concern over the lack of local job opportunities for local residents, Horton is determined to bring his energy and vision to Trenton.
Chairman Booth of CCGOP had this to say, “The people in Southern New Jersey and around the State are in need of legislators who offer solutions. They want quality leaders who will lead with their conscience not with their wallets. The People of the Sixth Legislative District deserve better leadership than what they currently have,” said Booth. “Greg Horton is a straight-talking guy who connects with people from all walks of life because he is a man who understands what people are going through and speaks from the heart. Greg, Al and Phil are ready to win this race. Horton brings with him a true understanding of the issues that challenge our State.”
The following towns are now a part of the Sixth Legislative District: Berlin Township, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Gibbsboro, Haddonfield, Haddon Township, Hi-Nella, Maple Shade, Merchantville, Oaklyn, Pennsauken, Somerdale, Stratford, Tavistock, and Voorhees.
