It's a cold, snowy week, but you can still melt your Valentine's heart this weekend.
Just make a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner at a restaurant in South Jersey or Philly.
It's been the kind of weather that calls for a trip for the Caribbean.
But if you can't afford the flight, at least treat yourself to a nice bowl of soup or chili.

Comfort food is the security blanket of the gastronomic world, one of the primary ways most of us seek consolation, calm and relief.

Collingswood’s shuttered Word of Mouth restaurant on Haddon Avenue will be replaced in early February by El Sitio, a South American-influenced steak and seafood restaurant.
It’s the first U.S. venture for Ecuador native Francisco Cabrera, who has two restaurants in his native country. The Cherry Hill resident, 53, has lived in this country for a year and a half and says he chose Collingswood for its proximity to Philadelphia and its small-town feel.

It started with a handshake.
The waiter, impeccably attired in the Capital Grille uniform of an ivory coat and ankle-skimming apron, stuck out his palm and introduced himself with a mega-watt smile. I like servers. I was one. But a handshake?
Really?
The Capital Grille chain is about excess -- big beef, big knives, big wines -- and nowhere is it more evident than in the service at the steakhouse's swanky new location at Cherry Hill Mall.
